Who we are

Founded by survivors. Driven by compassion.

Ethiopia Cancer Association is a nonprofit organization founded by cancer survivors and individuals who witnessed the challenges caused by limited cancer awareness and treatment services in Ethiopia. We work to raise awareness, advocate for stronger cancer care, and support patients who need compassion, dignity, and practical assistance throughout their treatment journey.

Our Mission

To increase cancer awareness, strengthen advocacy, and provide psychosocial and practical support to people affected by cancer, particularly patients who face financial, emotional, and accommodation challenges while receiving treatment.

Our Vision

An Ethiopia with accessible and adequate cancer treatment services, where cancer is detected and treated effectively and is no longer a major threat to life.

Our impact

Every birr becomes care, courage & a second chance.

We keep our promises transparent. Here's what your generosity made possible last year alone.

  • 60,000+ free screenings delivered in urban and rural communities.
  • 1,850 patients received treatment support and counselling.
  • 320 families housed near hospitals during treatment.
  • 92% of program funds go directly to patient services.
"The Association didn't just help me survive breast cancer — they gave my family hope when we had none. Today I volunteer so I can hand that hope to someone else."
